My name is Kimberly Linton, owner of Fitness 4 Life Consulting, located in Springfield, Virginia. I’ve helped hundreds of men and women get their bodies back into shape so they look and feel awesome! As your body ages, it slows downs. It takes extra effort to keep yourself fit and energetic as you were in your 20s.
Even if you’re in your 20′s, fitness doesn’t happen by accident. I wasn’t kidding when I said you’re not alone. Like you, I wasn’t paying attention to my health and eating habits. I went about my life working and playing as many young adults do and then it hit me. I looked in the mirror one day and hated my reflection…
I was overweight. I looked awful. And I was frustrated because I wasn’t sure how I got there or more important…how I was going to get the body I had back!
Being young and thinking I knew what I was doing, I tried the latest FAD diet. Then another when the first one failed and I gained all my weight back. I felt as if I was getting whiplash from all the Yo-Yo Dieting I was doing, but I didn’t know any other way. As a result, I just got bigger and more depressed!
It wasn’t until a friend suggested I hire a personal fitness trainer that things finally began to make sense for me. Almost immediately I discovered that the things I’d focused on when I was trying to lose weight were actually making me gain weight. Talk about frustration!
My personal trainer didn’t give me FAD diets or endlessly repetitive exercises to do. Instead, she focused on a healthy diet and exercise plan that took a whole body and lifestyle change approach to ensure I’d have lasting results.
Imagine my surprise when I finally started to see the fruits of my labor. I was burning fat. My thighs and buttocks were getting toned. I finally had a flat tummy that was bikini worthy. Best of all, I felt healthy and more energetic!

After getting engaged, I really started thinking seriously about losing weight. I wanted to look my best for my wedding, so Kim suggested a bridal boot camp style program. My biggest problem was eating out a lot and supersized portions. Kim put me on a clean eating meal which was challenging because Johnathan and I went home to North Carolina just about every weekend planning our wedding. Working hard every week resulted in me losing over 15 pounds. Johnathan started training with Kim too and lost 20 pounds. Thanks Kim for making sure our special day was a dream come true!


My fitness program had been focused mainly on running and didn’t include a lot of strength training. I wanted to get more muscle tone and look leaner. Kim designed a program that not only challenged me but also helped me see results pretty quick. All of our workouts are fresh and I never get bored. I lost 12 pounds so far and feel stronger than ever before!


I was so frustrated working out hard and still not seeing results. I kept insisting that I ate healthy–but Kim suggested we take a closer look at my nutrition. Once I started including more clean foods and limiting sugar, my body got leaner. Losing 33 pounds gave me the confidence to start a career in fitness!


After having my third baby, I thought I would never get my body back. I needed someone tough who would make me more accountable. Kimberly suggested training 3 times a week in the studio and gave me homework that consisted of mini-workouts I could squeeze in between taking care of my kids. No matter how much I doubted I’d lose weight, Kim encouraged me to train hard and expect results. Her training helped me lose 20 pounds and 5 pant sizes!


After coming back from a recent vacation, I wasn’t happy with how the pictures came out. I got determined to tame my flabby belly and started following Kim on twitter. Listening to her fitness tweets encouraged me to stop making excuses and finally get in shape. Each training session pushed me harder than I would ever go on my own. The key to my success was following her meal plan and fitness routine while not in the studio. I never felt like I was dieting—just making better choices. I lost 16 pounds and 7 inches off my tummy in 60 days!


For years, I had yo-yo dieted and tried to exercise on my own. I’d lose weight and put it right back on because I lacked the discipline and accountability. After a life changing event, Kim suggested it was time to take care of me and get back in shape. What made this attempt different was the fact that I saw results quickly with Kim’s fitness and nutritional program. She laid out a plan for me to follow and my results have been amazing so far…40 pounds lost in 10 weeks! I am now more confident, self-assured, happy, and healthy.


A friend invited me to train with her at Kim’s studio. The sessions were focused on getting me lean and the meal plans were amazing. Even when I hit plateaus, Kim was always able to kick start my weight loss again. I am most proud of the lifestyle changes I have made during the process. My motto was “I can’t say that it doesn’t work until I have given it my all and tried”. I can honestly say it works!
One of the excuses I hear every day when someone new walks into my studio is that they don’t have time to work out. Nonsense! Most people waste an incredible amount of time doing nothing at all.

It’s true that most people lead busy lives. We run from home to work, run errands, maybe pick up the kids at a babysitter’s house and then home to make dinner. But think for a minute about the time you really have free.
If you have 1 hour to watch your favorite sitcom on television, you have time to workout and get your body healthy and in shape. You can always program the DVR to watch your show later. You can’t program your fitness and health for later.
You need to make the time for what’s important, your health and your overall fitness. Anyone can be a couch potato. It takes effort to get the hot body you’ve dreamed of having.
